What is Personal Information?

Personal Information refers to any information identifiable to an individual, such as name, contact information, and details related to physical or mental health. This includes family health history, identification for healthcare service provision, and EDpills usernames and passwords.

How do we collect Personal Information?

EDpills collects Personal Information in compliance with privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (“PIPEDA”). Information is collected for user registration, account creation, authentication, and personalization of the EDpills platform. We may collect information directly from Users or from third parties with proper consent.

Types of Information We Collect

Personal Information:

Personal Information may include, but is not limited to, a person’s name, email address, residential address, precise geolocation information (i.e., specific location), telephone number, date of birth, care card or provincial personal health number, medication and prescription information, details about allergies, medical history, gender, insurance information, payment card information, transaction history, other billing information, occupation, employment status, and, in some cases, a username. When registering for health-related services or ordering prescription drugs, individuals may need to provide specific physical and mental health information, such as personal and family medical history, details of existing medications, information about drug allergies, details of requested medications and prescriptions, the name and contact information of the primary medical practitioner, provincial health number, and any private health benefits number or account information.

We will transparently communicate the purposes for collecting personal information unless these purposes are obvious, and individuals voluntarily provide their personal information for those purposes. This communication will occur either orally or in writing, either before or at the time of collection.
